About Cross-Chain Week

During the first week of the Arbitrum Odyssey event, users can connect ETH assets to the Arbitrum network through 19 third-party cross-chain bridges listed by the official team to receive 1 NFT. Additionally, if the cross-chain bridge used has the highest cumulative ETH transaction volume connecting to the Arbitrum network during the cross-chain week, an extra NFT can be obtained.

Cross-chain bridge for participating in activities

A total of 19 cross-chain bridges participated in the event, including Across, Banxa, BoringDAO, Bungee, Celer, Composable, Connext, deBridge, DeGate, Hashflow, Hop, LiFi, Router, Mt. Pelerin, Multichain, Rubic, Rango, Transak, and Varen.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Only calculate cross-chain for ETH assets.
2. There is no minimum cross-chain amount requirement.
3. Use the cross-chain bridge that bridges the most ETH during the week to receive additional NFTs.
4. NFTs are expected to be claimable shortly after the end of the cross-chain week.
5. You can cross into Arbitrum from any supported chain.
6. Allow the use of multiple cross-chain bridges.
7. Official bridges and centralized exchanges do not participate in this event.

Notes

1. The cross-chain week lasts for one week, providing ample time to complete interactions.
2. It is recommended to observe the data at the end of the cross-chain week and choose the bridge operation with the largest ETH inflow.
3. Beginners should familiarize themselves with the relevant operations in advance.
4. Consider cross-chain from networks such as Polygon, BSC, Optimism to reduce costs.
5. Arbitrum Odyssey has a total of 16 NFTs over 8 weeks, and obtaining 13 of them will grant you the ultimate NFT.
6. If you have not collected all 13 NFTs, you may consider purchasing the missing ones in the NFT market.
7. It is recommended to check the specific interaction requirements of each bridge on Project Galaxy before cross-chain.

Cross-chain Path Selection

1. Directly cross-chain from the ETH mainnet to Arbitrum (Gas fees are higher)
2. Cross into Arbitrum via the BSC network (lower fees)
3. Enter Arbitrum through the Polygon network (lowest fee)
4. Enter Arbitrum through the Optimism network (lower fees)

Cross-Chain Bridge Tutorial

The following demonstration uses three cross-chain bridges: Bungee, Hop, and Across.

Bungee

1. Directly cross from the ETH mainnet to Arbitrum, with gas fees of about 5U.

2. The cost to cross-chain from BSC to Arbitrum is about 2U, with an estimated duration of 20 minutes.

3. The cost to cross WETH from the Polygon network to Arbitrum is the lowest, less than 1U.

4. The cost of transferring ETH from the Optimism network to Arbitrum does not exceed 2U.

Hop

1. Cross to Arbitrum from the ETH mainnet.

2. Cross from WETH on the Polygon network to Arbitrum (you need to exchange USDT for WETH first).

3. BSC network is not supported.

4. Transfer ETH from the Optimism network to Arbitrum, the fee is less than 1U.

Across

1. The cost of transferring from the ETH mainnet to Arbitrum is less than 1U.

2. Cross from the WETH on the Polygon network to Arbitrum (you need to first exchange stablecoins for WETH).

3. BSC network is not supported.

4. Transfer ETH from the Optimism network to Arbitrum, with lower fees.
