Fun fact:

$REI was always one of my most bullish bags and this design was made back in March, where I was planning to write an in-depth research report on it’s infrastructure and size in around 10-15 mil.

Unfortunately I didn’t due to lack of belief in the Base team to support eco builders after watching them completely ignore the highest mindshare projects on their chain like Virtuals.

A few weeks later, I see posts going around that @Delphi_Digital has been involved behind the scenes and working with the Rei team and eventually posting research reports.

Turns out my assessment on their infrastructure was very well researched and the chart has been up only, doing a 15x ever since.

Since then, there’s only been one utility project which has given myself even more conviction than Rei: $CODEC

Just like Rei, Codec hasn’t fully made sense to people as what they’re building is entirely unique from anything we’ve seen on the current market.

Their approach to infrastructure isn’t focused on what the market is asking today but what it’ll be asking for 6-12 months down the road.

These type of infrastructure projects are the ones I like to bet the house on, not only with portfolio but with my conviction, since if I’m correct and have the patience to hold, you can make generational wealth.

I believe as Codec releases more information about their products and starts providing beta’s to their platform, we’ll see a large inflow of research arms and technical VCs like Delphi becoming extremely bullish on what they’re building.

Very few teams in this space are building from first principles, pondering with the deeper philosophical questions of how society will adapt, evolve, and reorganize under the weight of exponential progress driven by AI and robotics.

When researchers like myself or Delphi come across them, we get completely red pilled and want to do everything in our power to see them succeed as we align with their vision so strongly.

To this day, Rei’s marketing, designs and optics is still one of my favourite out of any project, let alone their product. Any team who is looking to level up should be using them as reference as they clearly have a S tier team and mindset.

I let an external factor influence what should have been a fairly internal decision based on infrastructure and product. Not going to let it happen again.
