🚨 Arkham has revealed that the Chinese mining pool LuBian was hacked in 2020 and 127,426 BTC was stolen.
LuBian was controlling 6% of the Bitcoin network at the time. Due to weak private keys, a significant portion of his BTC was lost in what is believed to be an attack targeting him. An additional loss of 6 million dollars was also experienced.
LuBian transferred the remaining funds to secure wallets and still holds 11,886 BTC (, approximately 1.35 billion dollars ). The hacker has not sold the BTC they stole. The hacker's latest move was to merge their wallets in July 2024.
