Thought I’d share something I’ve been trying out this week — the WXTM CandyDrop event on Gate.io. It started as a small curiosity for me, but it turned into a surprisingly fun and insightful experience.
At first, I joined just to explore what the event was about. I didn’t expect much, but the more I got into it, the more I realized it’s not just about free tokens — it’s about discovering a project and platform in a more hands-on way.
What Got Me Interested?
Well, for starters, 38 million WXTM is a huge prize pool — enough to turn heads. But what made me stay was how easy it was to participate. You don’t need to stake or lock up your funds. No complicated DeFi steps. Just trade, deposit, or refer friends — and you’re in.
So far, here’s what I’ve done:
I started trading small amounts of WXTM, testing how the token moves. It turned out to be a solid learning curve — I managed to catch a few ups and downs and made small profits.
After a while, I hit the 5,000 USDT trading threshold, which gave me my first candy.
Then I decided to deposit 1,200 USDT in WXTM just to test the system — and sure enough, another candy showed up.
Invited two friends, and one of them actually went in harder than I did — traded over 6,000 USDT. Boom, one more candy!
Now I’m sitting on three candies, and I’m planning to keep going. The fun part is, each candy is a potential entry into the WXTM prize pool — so even if I don’t win big, I feel like I’m gaining something regardless.
🪙 A Closer Look at WXTM & MinoTari
If you haven’t looked into it yet, WXTM is the native token of MinoTari, a Rust-based blockchain with a strong focus on digital ownership — especially around collectibles, NFTs, and in-game items.
I’m usually skeptical of “gaming tokens,” but MinoTari seems to take a more focused and technical approach. Instead of trying to be another gaming metaverse, they’re building solid infrastructure for creators and players who care about true digital ownership.
I’ve started following their updates and roadmap a bit more closely now. There’s something appealing about projects that don’t overpromise and just focus on building actual tools.
What I’ve Gained
Apart from the candies and small profits, here’s what I feel I’ve gained so far:
Hands-on trading practice with a real token and real market conditions.
Better understanding of the Gate.io event system, which I hadn’t really explored much before.
A growing interest in MinoTari and what they’re trying to build.
And yeah — a few laughs with friends I invited, especially as they tried to beat my trade volumes 😄
I know crypto is full of overhyped airdrops and “too good to be true” giveaways — but this one? It feels more grounded. It rewards actual activity, real engagement, and gives you something to walk away with even if you don’t hit the jackpot.
