Plume Network: RWAfi newcomer connects TradFi with the encryption world
RWAfi Ecosystem Newcomer: Plume Network Aims to Connect TradFi and Encryption World
Real World Assets (RWA) are becoming an important link between TradFi and encryption, gradually attracting market attention. However, the current RWA market still faces many challenges, such as inefficiency and high costs, and the connection between the traditional financial system and the on-chain ecosystem is still not smooth enough, urgently needing to break through development bottlenecks.
In response to these challenges, a fully integrated and modular chain focused on RWAfi has emerged. As the first truly public chain serving encryption native users, the project is dedicated to providing more efficient, transparent, and convenient solutions, redefining finance by creating a dynamic, liquid, and composable RWA market, making its functionality comparable to that of native encryption assets.
Rapid development, gaining widespread recognition
After nearly a year of rapid development, the network has been recognized by the community, institutions, emerging banks, and encryption native protocols (such as lending protocols, perpetual contract DEXs, AMMs, etc.) as the best solution for RWAfi. Currently, over 180 projects have been built on the platform, with a total deployed asset exceeding $1 billion, and several hundred million in assets are about to go on-chain. During the two-month testing activity, the project also achieved significant results: the number of active wallets broke 3.75 million, and the on-chain transaction volume exceeded 270 million, fully demonstrating the vibrancy of the ecosystem and the enthusiasm of user participation.
In November, the project held a pre-storage event with an initial target of 5 million USD, which was quickly filled in 70 seconds, exceeding expectations. In response to the tremendous demand from the community, the cap was subsequently raised to 30 million USD, and ultimately the target was exceeded and completed rapidly within 90 minutes, with oversubscription reaching 6 times the original plan.
The growth potential of this project has also been recognized by several well-known VCs, having accumulated a total of $30 million in funding. In May this year, it announced the completion of a $10 million seed round financing, with participation from several well-known investment institutions. This round of financing has laid a solid foundation for the project's innovation and expansion in the RWAfi field.
On December 18, it was announced that a Series A financing of $20 million has been completed, with participation from several well-known investment institutions and financial groups.
Build a dedicated blockchain ecosystem for RWA leveraging DeFi concepts
Although there are many Layer 1 projects and the competition in this track is becoming increasingly fierce, considering the customized needs for permission management, compliance, and liquidity in the RWA on-chain process, the project realizes the need to create a blockchain specifically designed for RWA, and aims to achieve its goal by embedding more customizations and functionalities at the network layer.
Unlike the traditional RWA model, this project leverages DeFi principles to create a more efficient and accessible ecosystem for encryption users and TradFi institutions. Its RWAfi model means that tokenized RWAs can possess composability and flexibility similar to native encryption assets. Based on the concept of native encryption, the project prioritizes composability, liquidity, permissionless access, and interoperability, designing products and businesses around RWAfi.
The project's modular infrastructure is designed to support the tokenization and management of real-world assets, with core components of its architecture including a tokenization engine, smart wallets, and an on-chain data highway. The collaborative work of these components provides a smooth and secure environment for managing multiple asset classes, ensuring compliance, and facilitating data integration.
In terms of core functionality, the project focuses on accelerating the on-chain of real-world assets, liquidity, and regulatory compliance, providing a comprehensive framework that includes liquidity management, built-in anti-money laundering (AML) compliance, and data access features.
Focus on Real Returns, Serving Encryption Native Users
As a unique field at the intersection of blockchain technology and traditional assets, the immense potential of RWA stems from the TradFi industry. However, mainstream users on the blockchain tend to be more encryption-native rather than traditional financial users, making it difficult for most products to find a market fit.
The project believes that to truly drive the growth of RWAs, it is essential to first focus on the needs of on-chain users. Its RWAfi concept not only involves bringing RWAs on-chain but also aims to create products that are easy to understand and accept, tailored to what users are already doing, while integrating both the traditional and encryption native worlds.
As an open and permissionless chain, this project provides an easy-to-use, compliant, and efficient asset onboarding tool. It has currently attracted hundreds of protocols, covering various asset classes, including collectibles, alternative assets, and financial instruments.
The project focuses on bringing real returns through yield-bearing assets and introducing real users from the existing market to expand the use cases of the encryption ecosystem and RWAs. For example, by collaborating with RWA projects in the renewable solar energy field, it provides users with the opportunity to earn returns from solar assets valued at $100 million.
Looking to the future, the project will further enhance the scalability and security of its infrastructure and further integrate to improve data privacy; in terms of ecological development and RWA expansion, more asset classes will be added; moreover, by expanding cooperation with financial institutions, it will make it easier for institutional investors to access tokenized RWA. This strategic positioning not only facilitates the connection between the encryption world and TradFi but also positions the project as an important bridge for promoting RWAfi development.
